Probate Attorney
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Probate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in probate law and estate planning, with exceptional analytical and communication skills. As a Probate Attorney, you will be responsible for guiding clients through the complex probate process, ensuring that their assets are distributed according to their wishes and in compliance with applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients regarding probate matters, estate planning, and administration.
- Manage the probate process from start to finish, including preparing and filing legal documents, representing clients in court proceedings, and facilitating communication between all parties involved.
- Conduct thorough reviews of estate plans, wills, and trusts to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Handle contested probate matters and disputes, including will contests, claims against estates, and fiduciary litigation.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals, including estate planners, financial advisors, and accountants, to develop comprehensive strategies for clients’ estate planning needs.
- Stay informed about changes in probate laws and regulations, and ensure that clients are aware of any potential impact on their estate plans.
- Provide exceptional client service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of client communications, case files, and billing activities.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing probate law and estate planning, with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of probate procedures, estate administration, and trust administration.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and statutes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling high-net-worth clients and complex estate planning matters.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
